2022 Awards

Five proposals, totaling almost $19 million over three years, were awarded in three targeted areas of research that leverage UC-national lab synergy: clean, renewable energy and decarbonization; frontiers of mesoscale materials and high energy density science; and pandemic preparedness and biosecurity. 2020 Awards

2018 Awards

Four proposals, totaling more than $13.5 million over three years, were awarded in three targeted areas of research intended to leverage UC-national lab synergy: biological applications of advanced computing, high energy density science and mesoscale materials science. Prior Lab Fees Awards

Applications were reviewed and ranked in one of six expert panels, and a Portfolio Review panel made recommendations as to the overall funding priorities consistent with the RFP and the goals for these funds.
