Service Description
ITS consults with UCOP departments about scanning departmental records in order to store and access them electronically. The ITS Records Management unit provides departments advice about whether their records are good candidates for scanning and helps them define scanning specifications for third party vendors in order to ensure quality, searchability, availability, and accessibility.

Records Management also provides limited scanning services for relatively small projects, eliminating the need to use a third-party vendor while ensuring quality, searchability, availability, and accessibility.

Support is available M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

All UCOP personnel are eligible to request support.

There is no cost for scanning consultation. Depending on the size of the project, costs may be charged for scanning.
