To ensure the university complies with its obligations as a federal contractor, each location designates an official tasked with the responsibility to implement, and manage the location’s affirmative action program. This group of systemwide subject-matter experts in partnership with Systemwide Employee Relations, Academic Personnel and the Office of the General Counsel meets periodically to discuss updates in applicable federal regulations that impact the system to brainstorm about finding solutions and bringing awareness to other key stakeholder groups and when appropriate senior level officials.
