Staff Advisors to the Regents
On behalf of the Vice President, Human Resources, Systemwide Employee Relations is the UCOP liaison to the Staff Advisors to the Regents. The staff advisor program allows for two staff or non-Senate academic employees to participate in open sessions of the Board of Regents as well as designated committees of the board. The staff advisors bring the voice and perspective of staff and non-Senate academic employees to board deliberations. Nominations open every year in January and appointments are made by the President in May. Staff Advisors serve two years. Systemwide ER manages the recruitment for each new designate.
