Mail Services

Service Level: Reduced

Incoming Mail and Deliveries (Oakland locations): Mail for Oakland facilities will be picked up from the Post Office on Monday and Wednesday mornings and sorted to mailboxes in the 6th floor Franklin mailroom. Package deliveries coming directly to Franklin (FedEx, UPS, etc.) will be received at the security desk and sorted to mailboxes in the 6th floor Franklin mailroom. Department representatives may pick up mail at 1111 Franklin during regular business hours by following building access procedures (see "Building Access" below). Exception - Mail for RASC (Kaiser Bldg) - TBD

Outgoing Mail (Oakland locations): Outgoing mail must be dropped off on the 6th floor mailroom in the outgoing mail bin.

Incoming and Outgoing Mail (Other locations): UCDC - TBD, UCPath - TBD, UC Sacramento

Oakland: Large printing jobs in the office during telecommute status should be a rare exception and requested in advance through Work Management Center (WMC). Note that BASC staff will not be onsite to support print services. Self-service printing for essential on-site staff only.

Building Access - Oakland Facilities

Franklin: All staff requiring temporary access to the building to retrieve mail or other critical items who are not on the approved limited onsite operations staffing list must register in iVisitor or call 510-987-9790 before visiting. Contractors, consultants, and visitors are not allowed into the building during the shelter in place order.

1100 Broadway: Essential onsite staff only, access card required to enter the building, to access the elevators and the parking garage

Kaiser Building: Essential onsite staff only, building access-cards will be required to access the building 24/7

20th Street: Essential onsite staff only, register with Franklin security

Delay in processing paper invoices due to limited mail services. Received invoices will be picked up once per week. Departments should request suppliers to submit electronic invoices wherever possible.

Oakland: Invoices received by departments for all Oakland locations may be: placed in the Business Resource Center mailbox in the 6th floor mailroom or submitted electronically through ServiceNow by creating a photo or scan with a mobile phone. For departments not picking up mail at Franklin, the BRC will attempt retrieve invoices from department mailboxes at Franklin.

UCDC, UC Sacramento, UCPath: Invoices through ServiceNow. Invoices may be scanned or sent as photo.
