Service Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) are on-demand computing resources and services hosted on Amazon’s public cloud via a pay-as-you-go pricing model. Services include server hosting, data storage, compute, databases, high-performance computing, and more. All AWS services managed by TDS are provided securely and have high availability.

Because you only use what you need, AWS provides an efficient cloud computing experience with high-performance computing at your fingertips. You avoid problems from buying and running your own hardware. You can feel confident knowing that the infrastructure can withstand massive demand, especially during peak usage. AWS is easy to use, flexible, reliable, scalable, and secure.

Major Features and Benefits
AWS products and services include:

  • Virtual servers in the cloud (EC2): Amazon EC2 provides resizable capacity in the cloud. VMs can be quickly provisioned.
  • Scalable cloud storage (S3): Amazon S3 is a fully redundant data storage infrastructure for storing and retrieving data from anywhere on the web.
  • Low-cost data backup (Amazon Glacier): Secure and durable storage for data archiving and backup
  • Relational and non-relational database stores: Amazon RDS makes it easy to set up, operate, and scale a MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL database in the cloud.
