Research Policy Analysis and Coordination
RPAC supports our campus partners with strategies and guidance to align UC policies and external requirements for the over $7 billion of research projects conducted at the University of California. The UC President, Board of Regents, and Academic Senate issue policies that affect the the conduct of research at the University of California. The Contract and Grant Manual and Research and Technology Transfer Guidance Memos are RPAC's key research policy guidance tools.

The Contract and Grant Manual provides guidance on policies for the solicitation, acceptance or execution, and administration of awards from extramural sponsors.
The Accounting Manual provides campus accounting officers with direction and guidance in connection with those accounting transactions, procedures, and reports that should be uniform throughout the University.
