UC scholars conduct cutting-edge research in almost every known field — but they don't do it alone! They rely on a strong community of research support that helps them collaborate and navigate the ins and outs of university research.

Research and Innovation (R&I) works with the campus researchers and administrators who support research to address the policies, practices and administrative procedures that promote and enhance a safe and effective research enterprise. R&I provides advice and guidance to campuses, fosters a systemwide perspective and supportive community, and coordinates action (when needed) to address issues that have the potential to affect research at all UC campuses.
