Key Category Guidelines and Goals

UC Sustainable Procurement Guidelines have set specific standards for the following major product categories within the Facilities & Maintenance portfolio - Cleaning Supplies, Office Supplies, Indoor Furniture and Water Appliances/Fixtures. Purchasing of goods within these categories must adhere to the minimum required standards set out in the UC Sustainable Procurement Guidelines. Aside from the minimum standards set, UC has outlined additional goals for the purchase of goods in these categories. Review the UC Sustainable Procurement Guidelines (pdf) for more detail.

General Criteria 

Some Green (environmental) and Economic and Social sustainability criteria are applicable across all, or a large number of different product or service categories. You can refer to the Sustainable Procurement Guidelines (pdf)for general criteria that must be applied to all applicable categories, and included in the specifications for all relevant solicitations and contracts.
