UCOP Health Care Facilitator Program
What we do
The Health Care Facilitator (HCF) Program provides a dedicated University of California resource that supports their respective campuses or medical centers and provides one-on-one assistance in resolving health plan related matters. The health care facilitator program can assist you with:
- Escalating billing problems that you have been unable to resolve yourself
- Understanding your insurance plan Evidence of Coverage booklet
- Medicare coordination of benefits
- Intervening to resolve problems of coverage, access and administrative processes
Who we serve

Health Care Facilitators are required to comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy and security laws mandating protection and safeguards for access, use and disclosure of personal health information. We follow UC’s Group Insurance Regulations, the terms and conditions of plan contracts, and Medicare laws and regulations.
