DESCRIPTION

Maritza will continue to be the lead facilitator of the Food Sovereignty project and hopes to expand the current garden they have and continue to build solidarity with farmers of Color in Los Angeles. Her research and critical community engagement with Indigenous Food Sovereignty will contribute to the field of Food Studies by thinking through the relation of Space, Food, Health, for Indigenous People. Indigenous Food Sovereignty is central to ensure a healthy and abundant future for the next seven generations.
