A Small Business Enterprise (SBE) is an independently owned and operated concern certified as a small business by the California Department of General Services Office of Small Business, and DVBE Services (OSDS) or other accepted certifying agency as listed below:
State of California – certifications for Small Business-Public Works (for Construction Contracts only); Small Business (Professional and Design Services)
U.S. Small Business Aadministration (The principal office of business must be located in California and owners (officers, if a corporation) domiciled in CA.)
Historically Underutilized Business Certification (HUBZone)
Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business
County of Alameda – Small Business (SB) and Emerging Business (EB) certifications
Los Angeles County Metro Transportation Authority (MTA) – Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certifications
Port of Oakland – Small Business (and Very Small) certification
California Unified Certification Program (CUCP) – Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)*
