Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action

Systemwide Employee Relations in Office of the President supports systemwide compliance with the law and spirit of equal opportunity and affirmative action as it relates to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, citizenship, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or status as a disabled veteran or Vietnam-era veteran, or other protected veterans.

In collaboration with lead officers at all locations, the Office of the General Counsel and Academic Personnel, our office provides support for the management of the University’s affirmative action programs, including the annual preparation of the federal affirmative action plan. Additionally, our office is one of the institutional points of contact for federal and state agencies for equal opportunity and affirmative action compliance inquiries and compliance confirmation for UC Office of the President.
