Human Resources

The systemwide Employee Relations unit is responsible for strategy and execution of programs and policies to help the university achieve academic and operational excellence, and operate as an employer that recognizes and takes into account the interests and well-being of all employees.

The unit collaborates with labor and employee relations professionals, and system-wide organizations on matters involving, but not limited to, engagement, fair treatment and performance management. We work closely with the ten campuses, five medical centers and national laboratories to strengthen the employee/employer relationship and equip managers with tools and resources that facilitate an effective operating environment. We also consult with management and employees regarding corrective and/or disciplinary processes and complaint resolutions.
