Clinical Affairs
The Clinical Affairs department provides strategic and operational support to oversee the work of Quality and Safety, Population Health, Pharmacy, and Strategic Sourcing and Value-Based Initiatives. The department develops and supports the implementation of systemwide clinical policy and other high-priority clinical and strategic health care projects and initiatives. Clinical Affairs also ensures alignment with UC Health's strategic goals and values and works to further the system's impact on advancing health equity.
UC has one of the largest public academic health systems in the nation. The Clinical Affairs department builds collaboration across the University's six academic health centers, working closely with the Chief Quality and Safety Officers, UCH Clinical Quality Committee (CQC), Population Health leadership, Ambulatory Leadership group, California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Chief Medical Officer/Chief Nursing Officer (CMO/CNO) group, Service Line leaders, Chief Pharmacy Officers, Strategic Sourcing and Value-Based Initiatives, and Chief Patient Experience Officers. Clinical Affairs supports local and enterprise-wide priorities by leveraging important external partnerships, including public health, community advocacy groups, health plans, and state and federal agencies, to optimize success.
