We invite you to attend the UC Systemwide Academic Congress: Where Do We Go From Here? Mathematics Preparation and STEM Pathways at a Crossroads. 

Recently, UC’s systemwide Institutional Research team office released a report on chemistry, math and the future of STEM at UC. This report highlights how some introductory chemistry and math courses, which were originally intended to be “gateway” courses, can also be barriers to STEM career pathways. This challenge is not unique to UC.  

Guided by our commitment to student success, this Congress will bring together distinguished public figures, leading researchers and educators from UC and beyond to discuss innovative and inclusive approaches to support student success and strengthen STEM pathways across the system.  

This event is open to all UC staff and faculty members.
