Ergonomics Program

UCOP’s Be Smart About Ergonomics program is unable to conduct onsite evaluations of employee's home workstations as part of the Safer At Home order.   Healthy Working Ergonomics and Healthy Working @ Home e-learning courses are available at the UC Learning Center.

These courses provide information on how to reduce risks associated with the development of musculoskeletal disorders and will help you understand how ergonomics affects your health, the benefits of good ergonomics practices, and how to make immediate adjustments for a more comfortable work environment.

A series of telecommute tips fact sheets, virtual Zoom ergonomics assessments, and group trainings are also available.

Computer use poses a risk of injury to employees who work at Office of the President locations. UCOP Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) has developed a comprehensive Ergonomics Program to address computer workstation safety.  The established program is based on the UCOP Ergonomics Program Document.
