UC/US Bank Partnership Fund Awarded Projects

The Partnership Fund awards marketing or other partnership opportunities at UC that will benefit the University as well as U.S. Bank.

In 2022, the following outstanding proposal was selected:

  • UC Irvine Born in California™ – Once again, U.S. Bank highlighted its commitment to innovation and showcased its pillars of Work, Home and Play by supporting UC Irvine’s Born in California™ for its 2022 U.S. Bank Partnership Fund award. This systemwide startup pitch competition is a UC Irvine and Beall Applied Innovation-produced event that includes all ten University of California campuses. This competition identifies and funds the most promising UC student and alumni-founded startups, which create jobs and build companies, increasing economic prosperity in our communities.

In 2020, the following outstanding proposal was selected:

  • UC Irvine Born in California™ – U.S. Bank highlighted its commitment to innovation and showcased its pillars of Work, Home and Play by supporting Born in California™, a UC Irvine Beall Applied Innovation-produced event collaborating with all ten University of California campuses in a system-wide startup pitch competition. Through this competition the most promising UC student and alumni-founded startups will be identified and funded; building industries and companies that create jobs and economic prosperity for all, leading to a healthy and engaged community.

In 2019, the following outstanding proposals were selected:

  • UC San Diego Student Engagement & Campus Move-In Experience – U.S. Bank highlighted its commitment to the community and showcased its pillars of Work, Home and Play by supporting diverse events at UCSD during Welcome Week as well as the Night Bazaar events supporting students as they integrate into college life. 
  • UC Riverside Native American Student Programs – U.S. Bank will highlight its commitment to the community and showcase its pillars of Work, Home and Play at the Spirit of the Tribes 5K, hosted by the Native American Student Programs group at UCR in 2020. The event is the kick-off for UCR Homecoming each fall.

In 2018, the following outstanding proposals were selected:

  • UC San Diego Black History Month 2019 – In line with U.S. Bank’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, this sponsorship supported UCSD campus programming and resources for February’s Black History Month theme of “Black Migrations," and provide scholarships that recognize the academic and creative achievement of student research in the study of African American history and culture. 
  • UC San Diego Triton 5K & Festival – U.S. Bank will highlight its commitment to the community and showcase its pillars of Work, Home and Play at the 23rd annual Triton 5K & Festival. Since 1996, the Triton 5K has raised more than $4 million in scholarships and benefited more than 1,000 motivated and talented UCSD students.
