DESCRIPTION

Río will be part of a multidisciplinary research team that analyzes the impact of heat waves on agricultural labor in the Western Central Valley, California. Their research centers on both health and socioeconomic impacts not only to agricultural workers but also to their families and communities. This project is a partnership with the Health Initiative of the Americas (PIMSA) and the University of California Institute for Mexico and the United States (UC Mexus), as well as community partner The LEAP Institute (Huron, Calif.).
