Reducing Food Waste on Campus
Gracie will work with UC Irvine Hospitality and Dining Services as well as Student Housing to promote sustainable practices and reduce food waste with students living and dining on campus. She will conduct educational programming and outreach based on students’ interest and needs. Research will be done to determine most effective methods of reducing food waste on the campus. A cookbook featuring cheap, easy, and sustainable meals will be created to encourage students to cook with less food waste.
