Project

UC Food Pantries Program Evaluation

Description

This project evaluates the efficacy of the UC food pantries using a survey distributed only to students using these pantries.

Goals

The major goal of this project is to evaluate the quality of services provided by UC food pantries. It also will evaluate the severity of student hunger in the food pantry community. Hopefully, this project will result in a best practices guide for UC food pantries and policy change for other food outlets on campus. I would like to see a committee of students created at each UC that is dedicated to alleviating student hunger by addressing some of the issues highlighted by my survey.

Future Plans

I plan on presenting this research at the California Higher Education Sustainability Conference in July.
