UC San Diego receives team and individual recognition
Congratulations UC San Diego – NACUBO Award Recipient
UC San Diego’s Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS) is excited and honored to announce that it recently received the National Association of College and Business Officers (NACUBO) Innovation Award.
IPPS received the prestigious ‘Process Improvement’ award, which recognizes institutions that have designed a program and improved the service delivery of administrative activities in response to campus needs. The award recognized the IPPS Re:Event initiative, which focused on improving the processes around event-related transaction processing, specifically catering requests and payment. In the first six months alone, $67K in savings have been generated and an estimated 900 hours have been saved because of the reduction or elimination in manual processes for campus and IPPS.
IPPS also displayed a campus efficiency poster during the NACUBO Annual Meeting, which highlighted some key components of the project.
NACUBO is a nonprofit professional organization representing chief administrative and financial officers at more than 2,100 colleges and universities across the country and annually honors individual and institutional excellence in higher education business and financial management. This year only five higher education professionals and three institutions received recognition.
At its core, the Re:Event initiative has been successful because of a collaborative and diverse team, led by Jenn Glassman’s technology team, including Ana Portlock, Erika Szewczyk, and representatives from across Travel, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Payment Services, Payment Request, and campus IT, who worked tirelessly to create a comprehensive solution that improved the management of entertainment expenses.
