Food Procurement and Healthy Eating as a Means to Minimize Obesity Rates

DESCRIPTION

Carly's project is on food procurement and healthy eating as a means to minimize obesity rates. Based on summer fieldwork at Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, objectives for this project include writing a paper on the importance of healthy food procurement and the methods in implementing and evaluating the food procurement system at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health; submitting the paper for publication; and presenting the findings at a major public health conference at the end of the year.
