Food Recovery
Description
This project broadly aims to recover food, especially produce, and distribute it to food insecure UCLA students and to continue the partnership with Food Forward by coordinating UCLA student volunteers to glean and distribute the produce to students in need.
She and GFI fellow Tyler Watson will assess how to recover excess food from campus operations and events through the development of a mobile application. In addition, this project aims to increase food literacy through cooking with donated produce and raise awareness of student food insecurity and how to access campus food resources.
