UC offers high quality programs on every campus, and at K-12 schools and community colleges throughout the state, to make higher education accessible to as many California students as possible.
The University of California was founded with the purpose of making higher education available to all California citizens—and fulfilling that purpose requires that we cultivate a community reflective of the richness and diversity of the state.
Through CalTeach, UC recruits and prepares mathematics and science majors for teaching careers by providing special coursework and field experiences in K-12 schools.
The University of California President's Pre-College Scholars program recognizes a select group of California high school students for their academic achievements. Participants receive special guidance to prepare for college.
