Rowena R. Manlapaz rejoined UC Legal in 2025 as Senior Principal Counsel on the Health Affairs, Privacy and Data Protection (HAPDP) team. She initially joined UC Legal in 2011 as a part of the Business, Transactions and Innovation team, and in 2015, transitioned to the Health Affairs and Technology Law team, where she led major transactions across the medical campuses, including joint ventures, acquisitions, divestitures, affiliations, and international transactions. From 2020 to 2025, she served as Associate Chief Strategy Officer at UC Davis Health and as Vice President-Partnerships, Mergers, and Acquisitions at UCSF Health. Combined, her legal and business experience allow her to better assist clients with designing, structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing healthcare transactions.
