Experience

Liv Hassett joined the University of California in May of 2010, first at the Santa Cruz campus and then at the Berkeley campus starting in January of 2019.  She advises on a variety of matters for the University, including data privacy and security, business transactions, emerging technology, research, online education and intellectual property.  Prior to joining the University of California, Liv’s primary areas of practice included real estate, business transactions and consumer law.

Liv received her undergraduate degree and J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., 1996; J.D., Berkeley Law, 2000).​
