Brian will help research and implement bio-digester and anaerobic digestion technology for possible implementation to help support UC San Diego’s carbon neutrality and Climate Action Plan goals.  Brian will support the technical application of bio-digester technology being developed by Engineers for a Sustainable World, by applying economic and cost modeling to help find a scalable solution that can be applied on a campus wide and eventually community-wide basis.  In addition to this work, given Brian’s background in sustainable building design, he will help support ongoing campus efforts to incorporate green building and low energy intensity measures into both existing and new construction projects.
