The University of California continuously strives to improve the undergraduate admissions application for students. As part of this effort, UC is administering a survey January through March 2020 to gain a better understanding of students’ experiences with UC’s application.

About the survey

The survey will be sent to two groups of the fall 2020 applicant pool: Applicants who submitted the application and applicants who did not finish the application. All participants will be asked to complete a 10-minute survey asking them of their opinions of the UC undergraduate application. Participants will have an opportunity to rate the ease-of-use of the overall application and each section. The goal is to identify key areas that can be improved for future applicants. Participation in the survey is voluntary.

Information use

Any information participants provide will be treated in confidence and only used to improve the quality of undergraduate admissions application. Reports based upon the survey will not include names or any identifying information about individual students.

Prizes 

All students invited to take the survey will be entered in prize drawings to win either one of twenty $50 Amazon.com gift certificates or two $100 Amazon.com gifts certificates. Prize drawing winners will be notified in June 2020 by email about how to claim their prize.
