30 Under 30 Awards - Terms and Conditions
All nominees for the Global Food Initiative 30 Under 30 Awards must have been born on or after January 1, 1986, and must be working or studying in the food industry. Nominees can be living anywhere in the world.

Nominations must be submitted online and received by February 29, 2016.
The nominations will be evaluated by a selection committee organized by the University of California. A representative of the selection committee will inform finalists in March 2016, and winners will be informed in June 2016.
Finalists will be asked to submit 150 - 200 words on why they should win, as well as links, articles, papers and/or marketing materials that support their efforts. Finalists also will be required to submit one picture of themselves.
Thirty nominees will be selected as winners. The 30 winners will be recognized in an announcement in June 2016.
By participating in the Global Food Initiative 30 Under 30 Awards, finalists authorize The Regents of the University of California (the “University”) and its officers, agents and employees to photograph, film, videotape or record them and use their name, voice and/or likeness in such photograph, film, video or other recording taken or made by the University or provided by the finalists.
Finalists agree that any photograph, sound recording, motion picture or video or other recording taken of or provided by a finalist under this agreement (“Material”) can be used by the University for any purpose, including serving the University’s mission of research, education and public service and for promoting the public good.
Finalists assign to the University all rights, title and interest – including copyright and rights of publicity – that they may have in and to any and all such Materials. Finalists irrevocably authorize the University, its officers, agents and employees, without limitation, to reproduce, copy, sell, exhibit, publish or distribute any and all such Materials in perpetuity. Finalists understand and agree that they will not receive monetary payment for any use of the Material by University.
Limitation of Liability
Finalists release, forever discharge and agree to hold harmless the University, its officers, agents and employees from any and all claims and demands – including but not limited to any and all claims for violation of rights of publicity, invasion of privacy, libel, defamation or copyright infringement – arising from Global Food Initiative 30 Under 30 Awards or from the use of any Materials.
These Terms and Conditions are binding upon all nominees and finalists as well as their heirs, legal representatives and assigns. If the finalist is under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must consent to the provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
