UCH Systemwide Operations
In 2015, University of California Health (UCH) launched its Leveraging Scale for Value Program (LSfV) in order to reduce costs and improve quality across the University’s academic health centers. This Program has since generated a cumulative impact of more than $1.5 billion in systemwide value through cost reductions and revenue enhancement.
In 2017, this function was broadened and included as part of the UCH Strategic Plan.
This department is responsible for establishing and implementing operational policies and procedures and providing oversight of complex processes while executing targeted initiatives with the overarching goal of providing value through “systemness” across all of UCH.
Within various initiatives, the goals are increasing revenue and achieving significant cost savings. Key areas of focus include:
- Information Technology
- Labor Management
- Revenue Cycle
- Supply Chain
