I. PURPOSE

This bulletin sets forth the procedures for (1) establishing detailed
rates for Group A Housing System facilities and (2) accomplishing any
subsequent adjustment of those rates which may become necessary.

II. GENERAL

     A. The rate structure policy approved by The Regents on March 16, 1967,
states that The Regents shall approve average rates for the Group A
Housing System, and that detailed rates shall be determined
annually by the President and reported to The Regents.

     B. Average rates submitted by the campuses will be computed from data
in the target budget requests, based on system-wide net revenue
requirements. The average rates are subsequently presented to The
Regents for approval. Detailed rates for facilities on each campus
for the target budget year will be reported to The Regents at the
         same time.

     C. The authority to approve detailed rates and any subsequent
adjustment of those rates as may be required after their
establishment has been delegated to the Vice President - Business
         & Finance.

III. PROCEDURES

      A. To establish detailed rates for Group A Housing System facilities:
Each campus will submit its proposed detailed rates to the Vice
President-Business & Finance, in accordance with instructions for
          preparation of target budget requests.

      B. To adjust detailed rates for Group A Housing System facilities: Each
campus will submit its requests to adjust detailed rates in letter
form from the Chancellor to the Vice President-Business and
Finance. Replies to rate adjustment requests will be directed to
the Chancellor with copies to Vice Chancellors of Business and
Finance and Student Affairs, or comparable campus officers.
