SERVICES
Dear Colleagues:
- Re:
- Rescission of the Four Year Limitation on Service for
Temporary Lecturers: Academic Personnel Manual Section
287-17-b.
The four year limitation of service at more than 50% time in any
combination of service in the Visiting Lecturer, Adjunct
Lecturer, Visiting Senior Lecturer, and Adjunct Senior Lecturer
titles is rescinded. The attached guidelines are effective
immediately.
The guidelines provide that University service at more than 50%
time in any combination of the temporary lecturer titles is
limited to a maximum of eight years.
The policy has been reviewed extensively by the campuses, the
Academic Senate, appropriate Systemwide offices, and employee
organizations.
Inserts for the Academic Personnel Manual will be distributed
soon.
Sincerely,
David S. Saxon
President
