Attached are two policy statements. The statement on Establishment of Academic Instructional Units replaces that issued on July 26, 1962 by updating those portions that were obsolete. The statement on Change in Name of an Academic Department merely sets forth formal steps for this procedure which currently are custom practices.

These policies will be issued as inserts to the Administrative Manual in the near future.
