Academic Calendar and Religious Holy Days

Dear Colleagues:

I am told that there is no written policy on dealing with conflicts that arise between the academic calendar and religious holy days. As you know from our previous discussion, this subject has caused a great deal of concern, and I am writing to request that when unavoidable conflicts occur, reasonable accommodations to individual situations be provided.
