Revisions to Staff Policy 3, Types of Appointments; Staff Policy 22, Probationary Period; and Related Policies
Enclosed are revisions to the above-referenced personnel policies, which incorporate changes to provide improved access to career status for employees in limited appointments (formerly titled "casual" appointments). A new appointment type called a "floater appointment" has been added and is reserved for use in temporary employment pools for those locations that utilize such pools.
The revisions were reviewed by the campuses and employees were given an opportunity to comment. The policy revisions are effective January 1, 2001, and will be available soon after on the Office of the President--Human Resources and Benefits website.
