Revision of Staff Policy 43.C, Family and Medical Leave
Enclosed are revisions to the above-referenced personnel policy that extend family and medical leave coverage to employees who need to care for a seriously ill domestic partner. In addition, clarifying language has been added regarding eligibility for family and medical leave for employees who were granted military leave while employed by the University.
The proposed revisions were reviewed by the campuses and Laboratories, and employees were given an opportunity to comment. The new policy will be effective on January 1, 2003 and will be made available on the Human Resources and Benefits website.
