Delegation of Authority--National Center for Child Traumatic Stress, Los Angeles Campus
Under Standing Order of The Regents 100.4(dd), the President is authorized
to execute on behalf of the Corporation all contracts and other documents necessary
in the exercise of the President's duties, including documents to solicit and
accept pledges, gifts, and grants. On March 10, 1995, the Chancellors were delegated
the authority to solicit and accept extramural grants and contracts for research
not exceeding $5,000,000 in direct costs in any one project year (DA
2036).
Pursuant to the President's authority, the University has executed a new contract
with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Public Health Service,
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, for a three-year
period, commencing on September 30, 2001 in the amount of $8,063,017, for the
project named above.
Effective immediately, as Chancellor of the Los Angeles campus, you are authorized to solicit and execute any amendments, modifications, or renewals subsequent to the initial award provided the general intent and purpose of the program remain unchanged from those originally approved.
Any redelegation of this authority shall be in writing, with copies to the Senior Vice President--Business and Finance, the Special Assistant--Coordination & Review, and the General Counsel and Vice President for Legal Affairs.
