How often does the BOI take place and when is the next Institute?
The Institute takes place twice a year. The next conference is:
October 20-23, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency, San Francisco Airport

Who pays for my attendance at the BOI including the hotel, food, and travel?
The Office of the President covers most of the cost of the Institute, including guest rooms, the first night's dinner, and all breakfasts and lunches for all participants. The participant's locations are expected to cover the cost or travel and dinners on the other nights. To help defray travel costs, sessions are offered alternately in northern and southern California.

Will I be expected to attend every session?
BOI provides a sequenced curriculum of lectures and small-group activities. Attendance is required at all sessions. If you must miss a session, please inform your group facilitator.  Certificates will only be issued to participants who successfully complete the whole program.

Has a room been reserved for me at the hotel?
Yes. Once you have registered for BOI by filling out the registration form you are on our hotel guest list and a room will be reserved for you.

Do I have to share a room?
No, each participant has his or her own room. But if you would like to share a room with another participant, contact Bilha.Coen@ucop.edu to make arrangements.

Are vegetarian or other special dietary meals provided?

I have special access needs. How will they be met?

What time does the Institute begin and end?
The BOI begins on Monday, with registration from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The introduction to the Program and Dinner begins at 6:00 p.m. The Program ends at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Participants should schedule return flights accordingly to allow enough time to get to the airport.

How should I dress?
Dress for the BOI is business casual.

Who are the Program Coordinators?
