President Announces Senior Leadership Forum

UC President Robert Dynes has invited senior leaders from all UC locations to discuss the creation of a systematic strategy for developing future UC leaders.
Forum participants will examine the need for future leadership and how to transform the UC system to improve its ability to develop future leaders. Specifically, the Forum aims to build commitment for this transformation at all levels by:
- developing a shared understanding of the imperative for change;
- learning from other organizations about their best practices;
- initiating a planning process to make change happen; and
- motivating campus action that is informed by a University-wide perspective
With retirement of senior leaders expected to increase 300 percent in the next 5 years, the long-term objective of Dynes' initiative is to ensure the University's effectiveness in recruiting, developing and retaining a mix of highly motivated, diverse and talented individuals for future leadership.
