Research and Evaluation on Admissions
and Educational Outreach

The Research and Evaluation unit conducts research and analysis in support of UC admissions and outreach programs and is part of both the department of Student Academic Services and the department of Educational Outreach at UC Office of the President. Within Student Academic Services, the unit is responsible for research and policy development in support of admissions and also serves as research staff to the Board of Admissions and Relations with Schools (BOARS), the UC faculty committee charged with formulating admissions policy. Within Educational Outreach, the unit is responsible for statewide evaluation of UC outreach programs to disadvantaged students and schools.
