Professional Liability
Description: The Professional Medical & Hospital Liability Program within Risk Services is responsible for loss prevention and management of medical/dental malpractice claims and lawsuits that occur at University medical and dental facilities and/or involve University employees, including University residents and fellows, for acts and omissions allegedly arising out of the course and scope of University employment. The University Office of Risk Services contracts with a third party administrator, Sedgwick CMS, for the day to day management of medical malpractice claims and lawsuits.
The Professional Medical & Hospital Liability Program can assist with questions pertaining to risk financing, claims management, and loss prevention consultation.
