Research funding opportunities

Most students are able to take advantage of numerous opportunities to finance their graduate education and research activities, including departmental fellowships, campus fellowships, and UC-wide grants. In addition, an array of loans (some "forgivable"), aid packages and teaching opportunities help to make a UC graduate education affordable to all. Each campus maintains extensive lists of funding opportunities that allow students to conduct research.  A growing number of UC-wide grants are available to graduate students through the network of UC Multicampus Research Units (click on Systemwide Opportunities below).  And don't forget about non-UC opportunities-sources — these are also listed here.
