Subject: Organizational Change for the Research Administration Office
Effective August 1, 1995, the Research Administration Office (RAO) has been reorganized into two separate units. The RAO will continue to be responsible for the University-wide coordination of non-financial policies, procedures and issues related to extramurally funded projects. The financial aspects will be managed by the newly formed Costing Policy & Analysis unit (CP&A). The new unit will be responsible for the University-wide management of financial costing and auditing issues related to extramurally funded projects.
The restructured RAO will be managed by Director Mears, and will report to the Executive Director--Research Administration and Technology Transfer. The CP&A will be managed by Manager Ohy, and will report to the Associate Vice President--Business and Finance. These changes have been made to best utilize the experience, knowledge and expertise of the Executive Director--Research Administration and Technology Transfer, and the Associate Vice President--Business and Finance in directing the financial and non-financial aspects of the extramurally funded activities of the University.
