Subject: California Postsecondary Education Commission (CPEC)
The Office of the President has negotiated new language with the California Postsecondary Education Commission (CPEC) regarding ownership, clause 10. The acceptable language is as follows:
All original materials developed as a result of or relative to the activities of this grant shall be exclusive property of the California Postsecondary Education Commission. The institution/agency has a royalty-free, nonexclusive right to use such materials.
Your campus may receive an agreement which reads as follows:
All information, including working papers, developed as a result of or relative to the activities of this grant shall be exclusive property of the California Postsecondary Education Commission. No portion may be published or otherwise disseminated without the prior consent, in writing, of the Executive Director of the California Postsecondary Education Commission or designee.
If this is the case, the agreement should be revised to include the acceptable version of clause 10.
