Subject: Acknowledgment of Federal Grant Funds
C& G Memo 89-13 (April 19, 1989) provided operating guidance on complying with the Stevens Amendment. The Stevens Amendment, effective for Government Fiscal Year 1989, required grantees to acknowledge federal support in public statements that described projects or programs funded by federal grants. Please refer to Memo 89-13 for details.
Identical language appeared in the Treasury, Postal appropriation bill signed into law on November 3, 1989. This law makes the provisions in the original Stevens Amendment permanent. Accordingly, the guidance in Memo 89-13 is extended indefinitely.
