Subject: CTL Updates: DOS Table

Two separate service requests from Payroll Coordination asked that three new Description of Service Codes be established on the Description of Service Table. They are as follows:

Service Request 81570:

Service Request 81570 requests that a standardized Description of Service Code of "TPR" be established on the Description of Service Table to distinguish the reimbursement of tax preparation fees that have been approved for payment by the Regents.

Service Request 81576:

Service Request 81576 requests that two standardized Description of Service Codes (DOS) of "TIP" and "BAA" be established on the Description of Service Table for use by campuses. Thus, it is asked that a DOS code of "TIP" be established to describe the Malpractice Tail Insurance Premium Payment that is based upon a hiring agreement, and a DOS code of "BAA" be established to describe an Annuity Agreement payable to current and former employees.

Therefore, at the request of Payroll Coordination, we are making the appropriate transactions to update the Description of Service table via FTP.

Transactions to update the Description of Service table are now available on the Payroll FTP site in the following dataset:

                        PAYDIST.CTL2006.CARDLIB (DOSPAYT)
	
The supplied update transactions must be processed via PPP004.   Values of '???' in columns 4 through 6 of the transactions must be changed to the appropriate sequence numbers for your location.

As always, these updates should be applied to production only as approved by your campus Payroll Manager. We suggest making a backup of the updated Control tables either through unload or image copy after the successful update of the production CTL tables.
