They are as follows: Service Request 81545: The Employee Contribution Rate for the 5th level 1959 Survivor Benefit has been changed by PERS (Public Employee's Retirement System) from $5.65 to $5.40. Service Request 81535: The Employer Contribution Rate has been changed by PERS from 15.9420% to 16.9970%. Service Request 81536: Covered Compensation Limits have been changed for those employees, hired prior to July 1, 1994, from $315,000.00 to $325,000.00, and for those employees, hired on or after July 1, 1994, from $210,000.00 to $220,000.00. Service Request 81541: The Post Doctoral Administrative Broker Fee has been changed from $11.10 to $9.02. Service Request 81537: The Assessment for Employer's Contribution for "Other Postemployment Benefits" (OPEB) has been changed to $2.75, and the Benefits Administration Rate has been changed to 0.14. Therefore, at the request of Payroll Coordination, we are making the appropriate transactions to update the System Parameter table and Gross-to-Net table via FTP. Thus, the value of 3250.0000 will become 325,000.00 when used, and the value of 2200.0000 will be become 220,000.00 when used. NOTE 2 : The tolerance values (threshold at which warning messages are issued) for each of these limits are set by individual campuses. If the current limits are to remain unchanged either delete these two transactions from the file or replace the question marks with the old limit values. If the limits are to be changed, replace the question marks with the new values. Both limit values are expressed in dollars, e.g., a value of 050000.0000 set a tolerance limit of $50,000.00. These transactions to update the System Parameter Table and Gross-to-Net table must be applied after the final compute for June 2006 earning and before the first compute for July 2006 earnings is run. As always, these updates should be applied to production only as approved by your campus Payroll Manager. We suggest making a backup of the updated Control tables either through unload or image copy after the successful update of the production CTL tables.
