Preview Days Fill October
In an effort to accommodate students, UC Santa Barbara has dramatically increased the number of preview days it holds in October.

“We thought we would serve the students better if they came at a time that was more convenient in their schedules,” said Associate Director of Admissions and Outreach Services Lisa Przekop. “We also found that tour groups on the one-day events got very large and by spreading tours across the entire month, group tours were smaller and therefore more personal.”

The issue is similar for transfer students, according to Przekop. She said that transfers are much better served by a more flexible schedule as well as a smaller setting to ask questions than at the larger Transfer Saturday, which no longer exists. (Note: the print version of the September UC Notes insert erroneously listed a Transfer Saturday for this year.)

The October preview days are slated Mondays–Saturdays, 11 a.m.– 2 p.m. Freshman presentations begin at 11 a.m. on Mondays–Saturdays. Transfer presentations are held Thursdays and Fridays only at 1 p.m.

More information about preview days is available online.
