Counselors Conference Materials Available

The University of California's fall counselors conferences in September drew 4,356 participants to the five host sites at UC Merced, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego and UC Riverside.

The conferences served representatives from 854 high schools and 102 community colleges in California. Of those who attended, 65 percent were from high schools, 19 percent were from community colleges, 6 percent were either independent counselors or listed no school affiliation, and the remaining 10 percent were a mix of school district and college or university staff, and representatives from student academic support programs.

With demand growing for conference registration, the University is exploring ways to expand the capacity of the conferences and to deliver the information to more schools directly.

Binders with conference materials are available from the University for those who were unable to attend or who would like extra copies. To order, send a $25 check (payable to the Regents of the University of California) to the University of California Office of the President, Student Affairs: Communications, 1111 Franklin Street, 9th Floor, Oakland, CA 94607.

These materials are also available for free download the UC counselors website .
